For me and many other immigrant settlers today, Canada is Home (written here using a fabric of flags). کانادا (Canada) is written in Persian, read from right to left, using a red material. The background consists of the same material in black, representing Canada’s dark colonial past. My name آزاده‎‎, meaning free-minded, is also written in Persian using a fabric with rope imagery. This is Canada, Our Home on Native Land!
